Throughout the range of provisions we offer the emphasis is on addressing the individual needs of each service user and this is achieved through providing a high ratio of staff to client supervision which is normally 1 staff member to a maximum of 4 clients. For some clients fulltime 1:1 support is available.

Autism Plus employs a dedicated team of key workers for each individual client promoting consistency of care, protection of individual rights.

24 hour support and supervision is provided for clients living in any of our residential accommodation. All Community houses provide ‘sleep in’ night staff, whilst the Community Apartments in Thorne have waking night staff.

Day time (weekday) support is provided within our separate day service and Adult Learning units and community resources which offer a variety of facilities via structured programmes of development and ongoing learning experiences that can be accessed by any client according to his or her preferences.

Care support is provided to meet individual needs, physical and psychological health, personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, social and communication support requirements.

Additional support includes psychiatric, psychology and all primary health care. Increasingly we are extending the range of support offered via our Person Centred Planning process including more activities and holistic responses including employment, leisure activities, holidays and fitness thereby promoting greater independence and choice.
